At CeBIT, Pironet NDH will be demonstrating how middle-sized software houses and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) can move successfully into the On-Demand business. With its ASP Enabling package, Pironet NDH fulfills all the technical and business-management pre-requisites for Application Service Providing: from a professional network and data-center infrastructure through to the arranging of ASP contracts and service-level agreements. Classic software vendors can thus quickly offer corresponding online versions of their software packages, without the need for initial investment of their own.

Allergy sufferers can feel much safer when shopping in the future: At the EuroCIS retail trade fair in Düsseldorf, the PIRONET NDH subsidiary, SINFOS, will be presenting for the first time software that highlights allergy-triggering substances in food products. The new solution combines product information from the SINFOS master data pool with a special medical database to provide valuable consumer information directly at the PoS. If the customer has previously set up a personal allergy profile on the Internet, the program even checks out the product for substances harmful to the individual concerned.

Since the beginning of the year PIRONET NDH has been hosting the specialized SAP application for the human resources department of Deutsche ICI Service GmbH (located in Hilden, near Düsseldorf), a subsidiary of Imperial Chemical Industries plc, London. The secure and highly accessible operation of the SAP HR system is carried out in the ICT outsourcing specialist's high-performance data center.

SINFOS GmbH, Cologne, and GS1 Ireland, Dublin, have signed a franchise contract for the operation of a master data pool in Ireland. The new GS1 Ireland Data Pool Service enables suppliers and retailers in the FMCG sector to exchange master data electronically and in line with global standards. The new service will facilitate suppliers and retailers by ensuring that accurate product information is used everyday to support their trading relationships.
